Volunteer at the UTEP Biodiversity Collections
The UTEP Biodiversity Collections has many opportunities in many areas of the museum and associated labs. Volunteers and undergraduates can help in specimen collection management, preparation and digitization, data collection, public outreach projects and archival material management. Working in the collections is also an opportunity to learn about the native flora and fauna, their conservation and contribute to an active research environment.
Volunteer hours are generally flexible between 9-5 M-F. We ask that volunteers commit at least 4 hours a week.
Undergraduates can receive academic credit for their volunteer work. If you are interested in receiving credit, this process must be started before the beginning of the semester.
If you are interested in volunteering to work in the museum, please contact Collection Manager, Vicky Zhuang: mzhuang@utep.edu
